Columbus Academy was formed in 1993 to support and encourage Roman Catholic families in Iowa that have chosen home education for their children. Each year, Columbus Academy sponsors a Back to Homeschool Picnic, a Valentine’s Follies (talent show), an All Saints Party, and a Graduation Mass. In addition, there are member events like summer park days and monthly mom nights, and members are always welcome to plan and schedule events of their choosing, such as field trips or other get-togethers. Our group stays connected through an online platform, which has event postings, chat, prayer requests, a forum, and much more. New members are always welcome. We’d love to have you join us!

               Columbus Academy is a Roman Catholic Home Schooling Support Group with the purpose of encouraging parents as the primary educators of their children.  We seek to form friendships, share resources, and learn from one another while remaining faithful to the Magisterium and all the Truths of the Catholic Church.
